Good News! - Lots of folks are signing up for Megalytic. Some of them have very large sites and data sets.
Bad News - Some of them have experienced problems downloading Excel spreadsheets - particularly from Google Analytics, where the data sets can be very large for sites with lots of visitors.
In response, we are scaling up our hardware and optimizing the software to handle large data sets more effectively.
One of our improvements went into production last night. The "Quick Download" widget can now download XLSX type workbooks of Google Analytics data sets about 5 times faster. For now, this improvement only applies to the XLSX type, so if you are experiencing performance issues, please use XLSX rather than XLS.
